Dev Diwali Varanasi 2024

Dev Diwali in Varanasi is falling on 15th of November 2024. People are going to gather in this city in a large number. Most of the guest houses, hotels, homestays are already sold out. If you are planning to come to Varanasi, make sure that you’ve already booked your hotels in Varanasi.
Hotels in Varanasi would cost around Rs 1000 to 50000 Rs per night but during Dev Diwali it is very hard to find a descent option.
So make sure that you are planning everything well and are not going to wonder around here and there for rooms
If you can’t find any descent option, you may look for rooms in Bengali Tola area which is near Dashashwamedh Ghat
Now when it comes to the celebration of Dev Diwali, it’s mostly celebrated on the ghats of Varanasi. People light oil lamps on each ghats of Banaras, we call them Diyas which makes the ghats looks gorgeous. The festival starts around 5 PM in the evening and finishes around 9 PM.
A lot of organisations and groups organise musical concerts, lager light show, drone show etc.

Its always better to book your boat ride in advance but if you’ve not done so you can ask your hotel to make the arrangements for you or even you can ask us to book one for you.

The boatmen may charge you around Rs 2000 to 15000 per person but if you’ll go late then the charge will be less also. The boat can get very busy as they load hundreds of people in one boat so better wear a life jacket and try to keep an eye on other boats too as sometimes your boat may get hit by another boat.
