Sujata Stupa is located in Bodh Gaya Bihar. Bodh Gaya is known as the place of enlightenment of Lord Buddha. Sujata was the villager who offered rice and milk when Buddha was working hard on his meditation path. She was the local from Bodh Gaya. She offered Siddhartha a bowl full of rice and milk when he was on his intense fasting and meditation.
According to legend, Sujata believed Buddha to be a tree spirit. She thought that God appeared in front of her as a spirit. Sujata was actually fasting for being pregnant and when she realized that she is pregnant now, she went to the banyan tree, where she had been going for several days earlier. She was a thin man meditating over there. She thought that she got pregnant because of this God and she offered him ( Buddha ) a bowl full of Khir.
